STE{A}M WEEK at CodeForce (1)

Here is the schedule below. Just choose the number of full and half day camps you want to attend. On the Registration form, please let us know which camps your child plans on attending. 

Monday, July 15th: Minecraft

In this camp, students will create an overpowered pickaxe and ore. Using the Java programming language, they will complete 11 coding challenges, embark on 3 epic quests, and create their very own crafting and smelting recipes. 

Schedule:

Half Day: 9AM - 12PM OR 1PM - 4PM

Full Day: 9AM - 4PM 

Full day students may bring their lunch or we can cater for $10.00 Per Day (See Add-On Lunch tickets). 

Tuesday, July 16th - Roblox

In this fcamp, students will create their very own adventure map. Using RobloxStudio and the Lua programming language, they will use the Tools, Editor, and Terrain editor to create the map, a lava shield, jump wand, and  lantern. They will also embark on 4 epic quests and 13 coding challenges.

Wednesday, July 17th - Coding

In this camp, students will use Scratch, HTML, Python, and MakeCode to build a TODO list web app, an underwater survival game, an interactive game, and handheld games using the Micro:bit. This class is tailored to beginner to intermediate coders.

Half Day - 9AM - 12PM OR 1PM - 4PM

Full Day- 9AM - 4PM.

Thursday, July 18th - Little Makers (Ages 5-7) and Open Lab (ages 7+)

Little Makers

We are offering two half day camps, or combine the two for a full day experience. Students will get a solid introduction to coding and robotics using Scratch Jr., Ozobots, Robot Turtles, and many other activities focused on STEAM based learning. 

Open Lab

Want to come in and work on anything of interest? The lab is open. Roblox Coding? Want to build games with the microbit? Or code the Ozobots to solve mazes? We have plenty of challenges ready for you, or make up your own challenges.

Friday, July 19th- Building and Robotics

Students will make a mobile disco using the Raspberry Pi. They will also code Ozobots to solve a challenging maze using the Ozoblockly language. The afternoon will be spent working in teams to build a set of robotic arms.
