Class Highlight: Makers Lab

In this class, students are totally immersed in the world of making. Working individually and in teams, students will be presented with several projects such as making an FM Radio, a web server, a VPN server, and a digital personal assistant. They will work with Raspberry Pi's and learn about computer architecture and design.

Why is this class important?

One of the biggest issues that we have with "coding only" curriculums is that understanding how code is processed on a machine or how machines make cameras or sensors work is critical in creating well designed apps and games. In this class, we will dive into how computers work, how they process information, and build some really cool things along the way.

Who is this class for?

Anyone who is interested in learning more about how computers work and how they can use peripherals to create devices and the coding to make them all work together. No previous engineering or coding experience is required.
