About The Event
Chemistry in Minecraft
Students can use chemistry to create new Minecraft items like helium balloons and sparklers, view elements in a complete periodic table, and build a customized chemistry lab.
Our lessons cover everything from lab safety (in which the students encounter a dangerous lab environment and have to spot the hazards and then reduce the risk of accidents by sorting it out) to analytical chemistry (using the game’s new material reducer).
Our goal is to introduce the kids to a world of chemistry and hopefully spark some interest using a game that they all know and love.Â
Teamwork, Problem Solving, and Critical Thinking
Students will work both individually and in teams. We try and mimic how real-world engineers work by allowing them to have both individual and team goals. This helps foster teamwork and communication skills. We also encourage them to try and solve a problem first, then go to their team, and then finally to their instructor when the hit a roadblock. Regardless of your child’s future career they’ll need these skills.Â
Is your kid ready for Minecraft Chemistry?
Minecraft Chemistry has the lowest prerequisites of any of our classes. As long as your kid loves Minecraft and is curious about science, they will have no problems succeeding in this class.Â
